A fake support scam is one of the most common traps beginners fall into, because it preys on a moment when you already need help.
It usually starts when you post a question in a public forum, a Telegram group, or on social media. Within minutes, someone messages you privately claiming to be support staff from your wallet or exchange. They sound professional and helpful. Then they ask you to verify your account, sync your wallet, or enter your recovery phrase into a form to fix the problem.
That request is the scam. Real support teams do not slide into your DMs, and they never need your seed phrase.
The rule that never changes: no legitimate service will ever ask for your recovery phrase, for any reason. The moment anyone does, no matter how official they seem, you can be certain it is a scam. Genuine help only comes through the official app or website you navigated to yourself.
